The Wanaque Warriors visited the Glen Rock Panthers for a showdown. The Warriors had some encouragement from the Cheerleaders before kickoff:
Once the cheering stopped and the coin flip was done. The Warriors lost the toss so Glen Rock chose to receive the ball in the first half. Here is the the kickoff:
Glen Rock's defense was tough defending against the run, but Wanaque was still able to move the ball on the ground.
However Wanaque played defense that stopped Glen Rock in their tracks. At the half the score was 7-0 in favor of the Warriors and the Wanaque Cheerleaders provided the halftime entertainment:
When the second half started Wanaque was kicking off. The crowd could feel the intensity of the Warriors. You can even hear a fan shouting out "I Smell A Superbowl!"
It was late in the game when Glen Rock got the ball back. They ended up scoring a touchdown with 24 seconds left in the game. Glen Rock went for the conversion and fumbled the snap. However due to a penalty they were able to get a second crack at it. Wanaque toughened up and stopped them cold. Watch the exciting conclusion of the game. Be aware you will need to forward the tape a little bit because this cameraman forgot to shut off the camera and recorded nothing during a time out.
